  • Evolv365 is the next stage of evolution of cycling. It's features and benefits are based on extensive market research into why most people don't use traditional bicycles regularly. "365" means our vehicle can be used for everyday urban journeys all year round, in any weather.

  • A "traditional" bicycle has two wheels and the rider sits upright and exposed on a small saddle. We say "traditional" because this design dates back to the 19th century. It became the norm in the 1930s when all other designs were banned from cycle racing. Manufacturers of other designs went bust. In the 1970's some alternative designs were rediscovered and improved by pioneers of the Human Powered Vehicle community, but the mainstream cycle racing ban persists.

  • Nocomoto is passionate about cycling evolution. We road tested and market tested our prototype and used the findings to improve the design. The concept is the same - a safe, comfortable, practical vehicle for everyday urban journeys.

  • Pretty much any reasonably mobile person over 14 can ride Evolv365 - whether you’re male or female, young or old, a confident cyclist or not. In fact, one of our main goals at Nocomoto is to make cycling more inclusive and accessible. You can wear your normal clothes and it’s easier to get in and ride compared with a traditional bike. Adjustments for riders of different heights will be easy, so you can share your Evolv365 with your household, or in a workplace.

  • Once we reach full production, you will be able to book a test ride through our web site. One of our local representatives will demonstrate Evolv365 for you and you will be able to try it out. If you don’t live near one of our agents, we will arrange an on-line 1:1 demonstration for you. If you're keen to get involved before then, you can join our user community who are contributing to the design.

  • Yes! At the moment you can join the waiting list at no charge here. Later in 2024 we will ask for a small deposit.

  • Evolv365 is highly visible from all angles, even at night in poor weather, so other road users will see you and have more time to react. Evolv365 has greater “road presence” than a traditional bike, so drivers give it more room. Braking distance is shorter than a traditional bike. In the unlikely event of a collision, you won’t get thrown from the vehicle, which is how most cyclists get hurt.

  • Not if you follow the instructions which come with the vehicle and use the supplied charger, which is fully compliant with UK / EU safety standards.

  • You will have a clear all-round view of the road including through two rear view mirrors, so you can easily check traffic behind you.

  • Your upper body is supported by a sculpted padded seat and your arms rest naturally on the handlebars and controls. That means you won’t suffer from the aching backside, wrists and neck which plague many cyclists. The built-in motor and the weather protection means you won’t get too hot, or cold, or wet, *and* you can wear your everyday clothes.

  • Evolv365 has a permanent rigid “canopy” to shield you from rain, wind or sun, so you can enjoy your journey whatever the weather. If the weather is really bad, you can zip on the supplied fabric side panels, so you’ll be fully protected. There will always be plenty of ventilation, so you won’t get too hot. In hot, sunny climates, mesh side panels will give you shade and a breeze.

  • The front and rear wheels are fully enclosed to protect you from road spray. On a typical journey your feet won’t leave the pedals until its time to get out. - See the Technical FAQ section to learn about our unique tilt mechanism.

  • Yes! The electric motor helps you ride up hills with ease, without getting tired or overheating.

  • No – you chose the level of motor assist. Evolv365 is a great way to get fitter as you travel, because you’re in control of the motor-assist. You can start gently and reduce the assist whenever you want. If you can walk, you can ride an Evolv365.

  • The canopy tilts forward so you can step through and sit down on the padded seat.

  • It's designed to be outside in all weather. It has tough built-in anti-theft measures, including a lock and immobiliser. We recommend you lock it to a ground anchor at your home for extra security.

  • It has a tough built-in lock and an immobiliser, so its much more secure than a traditional bike. There will be a tracker option, so in the unlikely event the vehicle is stolen you’ll get an alert on your mobile showing you where the vehicle is.

  • Easily! The cargo space behind the seat can hold up to 15kg, such as bags of shopping. There will be optional removable “back-boxes” including insulated types for carrying hot or cold food. There’s also a built-in trailer hitch, so a wide variety of larger or heavier loads can be towed. One of our focus group members said Evolv365 was like a mini pick-up truck!

  • Our range of trailers will include a fully enclosed “pod” for one or two children up to infant school age. So your kids will be fully protected from bad weather just like you. If there is enough demand, we will create trailers for older children (maybe with their own pedals!).

  • Yes! Evolv365 includes a secure trailer hitch as standard. Various trailers will be offered as options, and we will encourage third parties to make trailers or adapt their existing trailers to fit. Evolv365 can be an adaptable “cargo-bike” with much better comfort and safety for riders than a traditional design.

  • The weather-proof “canopy” material is similar to a typical car bumper, so it can be repaired or replaced easily. Evolv365 is tough - designed for everyday use on normal roads – potholes and all. It’s also designed for low maintenance and can be repaired by a competent bike mechanic.

  • Yes! For a small additional cost, the fabric side panels can be printed with any design you like (provided its legal and decent!). For businesses, Evolv365 can be your head-turning mobile advertising board! Or maybe you just want a totally unique personal vehicle?

  • Yes! Driving a petrol or diesel car / van is a large part of a typical person’s carbon footprint. If you use Evolv365 instead, you could save up to 2000kg CO2 per year, based on average mileage.

  • Yes! Being climate- and eco-friendly is our passion at Nocomoto. Evolv365 is designed from the ground up to use materials and processes with minimum environmental impact, long life, and the potential to be recycled. The battery pack is tiny compared with an electric car and can also be recycled.

  • Eventually yes, after several years – depending on usage. Nocomoto will offer a battery replacement service and ensure the old battery is recycled.

  • Retail price will be between £4000 and £5000, depending on your chosen options. And remember, if Evolv365 replaces a car or small van you’ll be saving money from day one.

  • The official mileage rate for a petrol or diesel car or small van in the UK is 45p/mile. The cost of running Evolv365 around 3p/mile, so the more you use it, the more you’ll save.

  • Yes! We will be offering consumer credit through trusted partners.

  • Yes - in the UK and some EU countries. Evolv365 is a great choice for a commuter bike and its easy for any size employer to set up regular deductions from your pay. You’ll probably save money every month if you use Evolv365 instead of a car.

  • Yes! At the moment you can join the waiting list at no charge here. Later in 2024 we will ask for a small deposit.

  • Yes! We will offer one year parts and labour warranty as standard.

  • Yes! Evolv365 is fully legal in UK and EU. It is classed as an e-bike or “EPAC”. Evolv365 can use dedicated cycle paths too.

  • No, Evolv365 is classed as an electric bicycle or "e-bike". In the UK, anyone over 14 years old can ride one. Some EU countried have slightly different e-bike regulations.

  • Legally, you’re not required to have insurance, but we recommend you do have it. We plan to offer a special insurance offer for our customers.

  • We recommend you do wear a helmet, but in the UK and many EU countries you are not legally required to wear one.

  • The law says you have to pedal to turn on the motor-assist, but you can move at walking pace using only the motor – in a pedestrianised area for example.

  • In congested city streets, especially in rush hour, Evolv365 is probably the quickest way to travel from A to B. Get past traffic easily, park outside your destination, activate the built in lock and you won't need to change your clothes, or have a shower. The electric motor works up to 15mph / 25kph, which is faster than most unassisted bikes can go. The standard gearing will give a maximum speed on the flat of about 20mph. The aerodynamic shape means you will use less energy to go at the same speed, compared with a traditional bike. If you want to travel faster, or you live somewhere very hilly, alternative gearing will be available.

  • Evolv365 is a unique kind of tilting trike where you control the stability. The vehicle is stable when you’re getting in and out and at low speed, but leans like a traditional bicyce at higher speeds. Its narrow enough and agile enough to weave through traffic. Nocomoto has applied for a patent on the tilt mechanism.

  • It depends on many things – especially how much help you want from the motor, how many hills you climb and how fast you go. Typically, you will get 25 to 30 miles on a single charge. Larger batteries will be available as an option on our Evolv365 Vantage model, which is mainly for commercial use.

  • The pedals will still work, so you’ll be able to get to your destination and charge up the battery. The built-in display will show you how much battery capacity is left. So with care you will never be without power assist.

  • All you need is a standard mains electrical socket, to plug in the supplied battery charger. The battery pack is removable, but if you have somewhere dry to store the vehicle the battery can also be charged in place. A full charge only takes a few hours.

  • Evolv365 weighs about 35kg including the motor and battery, compared with 20 to 30kg for a typical traditional style e-bike with a luggage rack, lock and lights fitted.

  • Evolv365 is slightly narrower than the handlebars of a typical city bike and a bit longer than a typical bicycle. Height-wise, your head will be at the same height as a typical car driver, so you can see and be seen by other road users.

  • No – front and rear lights, turn indicators, horn and a lock are all built-in as standard. You won’t have to worry about forgetting them or having them stolen. If the vehicle is stored outside overnight, you may choose to fit a ground anchor and padlocked chain for extra security. A tracker will be available as an option.

  • Yes! The standard canopy colour will be white, but for a small additional cost, the canopy can be painted in any of over 200 colours in the RAL Classic range using eco-friendly paint. For a colour chart see https://ral-colours.co.uk/ral-classic-colours/

  • Yes, if you have the skills and tools. If not, any competent bike mechanic will be able to maintain the bike. Components like the motor require specialist skills and equipment to repair, so will generally be swapped out for a new unit in the unlikely event they go wrong. If bike maintenance isn’t your thing, we will offer annual maintenance contracts as an option.

  • Standard bike components such as brakes, cables, transmission etc. from respected brands will be used to make Evolv365 as reliable as possible and straightforward to maintain. Parts which are unique to Evolv365 can be obtained from Nocomoto.

  • Evolv365 has a hands-free phone holder so you can safely use navigation and stay connected on the move. We will also offer an optional tracker and matching phone app for extra security.
